Why it matters

A budget is a plan for the money coming in and the money going out. Comparing category limits with actual transactions helps you notice small habits before they become larger monthly costs. WinWealth keeps those comparisons alongside goals and investing so that the trade-offs are easier to see.

How it works

In the app, enter planned income and expense limits, then log transactions with useful categories. The Budget tab shows spending against limits, while the watchlist lets you follow specific categories or merchants. Projections are based on the transactions you record; the app does not import bank feeds automatically.

A worked example

For example, a $300 food budget with $180 recorded by the middle of the month may need another look. Watching a merchant can also reveal repeat charges you had stopped noticing. Historical averages depend on a complete transaction log, so missing entries can understate spending. The illustration here uses sample numbers rather than your records. Open WinWealth to create category limits, add transactions and decide which spending patterns deserve your attention.
